The exclusive distributor of True Religion jeans approached Katz Architecture to fit out their NYC showroom. Inspired by the materials and craftsmanship of the product line, our minimalist design, completed in association with friend and designer, Sarah Luhtala, aimed to keep the focus on the fashion as the decoration for their showroom. The budget was minimal and the project had to be completed in record time, so the modifications were strategic to create maximum impact. We refinished and lightened the concrete floor, painted everything white, installed a grid of suspended track lights and designed simple translucent partitions with drywall studs and plexiglass all to highlight the True Religion jeans as the only decorative element in the space.
