Shana Kim

Project Designer

As a project designer, Shana provides invaluable design support throughout all phases of project development. From conducting site and zoning research to developing plans and researching products and specifications, Shana's expertise helps to simplify and streamline the design process. Her comprehensive understanding of building codes and safety regulations allows her to effectively guide projects through city agency approvals and the permitting process.

Since joining KA in 2018, Shana has contributed to a wide range of projects including the design of a new five-story commercial building in Soho, the renovation of a Brooklyn townhouse, and the expansion and renovation of a landmark cast iron building in Soho. Additionally, she has worked on numerous residential apartment combinations and renovations.

Shana holds a Master of Architecture degree from the Pratt Institute, where her student work was showcased at ICFF as part of Home-less Home – Post Sandy Topographies. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology in Asian Studies with a minor in Arts from Macalester College. Shana also served on Peru Project as a member of Pratt Side – a student organization working to serve underprivileged communities through designing, building, and advocating for schools and homes.
