Associate - Façade Compliance Specialist

As a Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) and registered architect at Katz Architecture, Ivan manages a wide range of building envelope efforts including façade inspection (FISP) and remediation, water infiltration investigation, roof design and replacement, façade documentation and remediation, vault repair, and sidewalk replacement projects. As a senior member of the Property Management Support team, he oversees shareholder reviews, site investigations, code reviews and specialized building corrective work. He applies his experience, strong work ethic, friendly demeanor, and ever-expanding trouble-shooting knowledge to every project he works on. Notable projects include the façade restoration and roof replacement of 133 Wooster Street, a landmark district Soho loft building, the façade remediation and balcony replacement of 2 King Street, and the rain-screen façade investigation and repair of 297 Driggs Avenue in Brooklyn, NY.

Ivan is a registered architect licensed in New York State and a certified Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector with the NYC Department of Buildings. He obtained an Associate Degree in Applied Science in Architectural Technology in 2004 and a Bachelor of Architecture from New York Institute of Technology in 2009. Prior to joining KA, Ivan worked in the construction industry providing services for large scale projects for the NYC School construction Authority.
