Located in the Soho Cast Iron Historic District, this seven-story, brick loft structure with stylized terra cotta ornament and arches was constructed in 1893. After years of deterioration, Katz was hired to restore the facade and renovate the roof. The facade restoration work included repair and pinning of deteriorated terra cotta lintels, repair of stone window sills, selective brick replacement and repointing, repair and refurbishment of cornice and stripping and structural repair of the fire escape. Roof work entailed removal and replacement of existing roof, rebuilding of parapets, resurfacing of bulkhead structures, replacement of existing skylights, construction of a new tank room and structural reinforcement of the the deteriorated roof structure.
